Excellent Water Park

Waldameer Park is another great place to take the kids. The water park is amazing. One slide is completely dark when you ride in it, and at the end, you go into a large pool, which is really fun. Unfortunately, the water park closes at 6:00 p.m., so after that time, you have to go to the rest of the park. The rest of the park isn't as impressive because the biggest ride is the Ravine Flyer, which doesn't do any flips or rolls.

Great for Families with kids - boring for adults

This park is mainly catered to younger children. Most of the rides are outdated and simple, but families with kids will love the small closeness of the park and the short walking distances and waiting lines it offers. The park is always clean, but weather changes quickly here and they offer no rain-checks whatsoever. If you plan on going make sure to follow the weather as best you can because Lake Erie has no such thing as a weather pattern and the park is prone to sporadic rain showers and thunderstorms on the even seemingly sunniest of days. They do have four fairly exciting rides that adults and teens can enjoy - the log flume ride Thunder River, a spinning coaster at the back of the park that is short but riveting, a drop-style ride, and their new Ravine Flyer coaster that extends over the lake. But none of them really compare to anything you would experience at a bigger more industrialized park. If you have kids and want to make an amusement park trip as easy and simpl

The Perfect Park

Waldemeer has a kiddy land but also has added some rides that are for adults and older kids, mainly the Ravine Flyer. I had the pleasure of going on the flyer this summer. You climb way above the trees and all you see ahead of you is the lake, right before you plunge down the 120 foot first hill. The coaster crosses over the highway, not that you know! You are going so fast you don't even know. The park is clean and pretty. It has something to interest almost everyone. You can walk the entire park and find a child without panic. There is no charge to enter the park, just to ride. It also has a great outdoor water park there and fireworks on the summer holidays! If you have not gone, make sure you go next summer.
