Featured Products
Chair Caning
Strand Caning involves hand weaving cane material to create a standard double strand pattern into a chair seat. This pattern is the most common and the strongest, resulting in a strong caned seat.
The rate listed is an average cost for an standard sized seat. The average seat includes 75 holes positioned around the seat rail. All materials costs are included in the price.
The cane material is the outside bark of Rattan, a tall plant that is grown in the south Pacific. The width of the cane varies and each strand is 15 feet long. Given proper care, the natural material used should create a seat that lasts 15 to 20 years.

Fiber Rush Seat Weaving
Fiber Rush involves the weaving of a prewoven Kraft paper strand around the dowel seat rails of the chair seat. paper rush seat
The price listed is an average cost for an average 15 in. seat. All materials costs are included in the price.
We determine the appropriate size fiber rush to use. The size of the chair seat to be woven and the intended use for the chair determines the size of the fiber which is used to create the chair seat. The width of the fiber varies from 4/32 in to 7/32 in.
The Kraft Paper is readily available in two colors: Kraft Brown and Antique Gold. A Variegated strand is available as a special order item. Given proper care, the Kraft Paper material used should create a seat that lasts 15 to 20 years.
Each chair we service is cleaned and tested for seat rail integrity. We will remove old rush, clean and prep the rail area, and strengthen the rail to accept the new material.
