Mosaics on the Lake

I am a self- taught mosaic artist living in Erie, Pa. With my husband and son. I have a 21 year old daughter and two grandchildren. I have always been interested in the arts/ all types and mediums. I really began getting my inspiration when I moved away for a period of time and lived in Northern California, outside San Francisco. The arts are VERY prevalent there. Lot’s of natural beauty! I then moved to Virginia….. the Shenandoah Valley, beautiful country! From there it was off to Philadelphia, Pa. Where my husband was originally from, again….. A very art friendly area. After that I found my way back home with inspiration and time to start creating. I have been working with glass, mosaic tiles and other mixes… found items, gems, beads, natural things such as stone, shell, driftwood. I am also working with pique assiette ( broken pieces of pottery, stoneware shards etc.) I have found myself creating original…… one of a kind mirrors, picture frames, glass platters, wall hangings, trinket boxes and now I am moving into plant stands and other furniture pieces. I am very excited about this journey I’m on…….. creating from the depths of my soul….. Out of pain, out of love, out of happiness……. This is where true art comes from.
